The total number of tickets sold for Dhurandhar puts the Ranveer Singh starrer stranded below disasters like Sikandar (143K tickets sold), War 2 (154K tickets sold), and Baaghi 4 (155K tickets sold). However, this exact count puts the film ahead of Housefull 5 (94K tickets sold) and Raid 2 (86K tickets sold).

The budget of Dhurandhar 2025 is a massive cost of Rs 280 crore, and such a response in ticket sales is clearly not an indicator of the film succeeding. To have any chance of making a profit, Dhurandhar needs solid word of mouth on Day 1.

The Dhurandhar advance booking online is driven by metro cities like Mumbai and a few South Indian markets, such as Nizam/Andhra Pradesh and Mysore. Leaving them aside, the response is dull in Northern and Central India circuits. Even in mass circuits like Bihar and CPCI, the film is facing disappointing results.

A significant factor benefiting the film right now is the makers’ decision to split it into two parts. In case the 7-hour-long footage had been somehow edited down to a single movie, there would have been no chance for the film to recover its massive cost, let alone make a profit.

Additionally, the template of a R&AW agent infiltrating Pakistan and fighting against enemy forces while an influential Pakistani figure brews plans against India is a done-and-dusted concept that doesn’t lead to the same spark today as it did a few years ago.
