Many action movies across India have tried to jump on the bandwagon of intense action, violence, and brutality to find success. While many actually found success, the majority of the films failed. In the first 48 hours of its pre-sales for Day 1, Dhurandhar sold 26K tickets in Indian national chains (PVR Inox and Cinepolis). A day ahead, this total grew to 41K tickets sold in the Dhurandhar presale booking, and the next day ended with 66K. 

The overall Dhurandhar First Day advance booking report shows that the film’s pre-sales ended with 121K tickets sold in Indian national chains, including block bookings as well as inorganic booking practices, followed by the team a night before the film’s release. This figure is boosted heavily by inorganic booking practices from the makers that grew every day, making the original numbers way less, even though the film is trending well among the audience. 

Compared to its original Day 1 collection of Rs 17 crore nett, the Monday hold of the movie should show well enough results. In its 3 days, the film has attracted the best volume of audience from Mumbai and Mysore.

What is the Prediction for the Dhurandhar Box Office Collection?

From the public perception, the content of Dhurandhar and the tag of the new movie of Uri: The Surgical Strike director Aditya Dhar were a bigger influence on the film’s advance booking than Ranveer Singh, who is not a strong attraction in this phase. Hence, Ranveer’s past track record at the box office does not make a positive impact on the film’s opening in any way.

The likes of Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal excite the audience much more than Ranveer, as they are not seen as stars but as actors who are sure to light up the screen.

As for Dhurandhar’s lifetime results, they depend entirely on the film’s fate and the public’s word of mouth. If Dhurandhar builds a positive reception for itself, it is safe to run well for at least the next two weeks before it faces giants like Avatar: Fire and Ash at the box office.

However, if the odds go against the film and the Ranveer Singh starrer gets negative reviews, there would be barely anything that could save it. In case of box-office underperformance, Dhurandhar Part 2, releasing on 19 March 2026 (i.e., Eid 2026), would be massively affected, for sure.
