The Rahu Ketu movie cast features Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Shalini Pandey, Chunky Panday, and Piyush Mishra, among others. Among the entire Rahu Ketu film cast, there is no name that can carry the film single-handedly at the box office, and this is where the basis of marketing, the return of the Fukrey duo, comes from, trying to drive the film’s hype with the already successful Fukrey franchise. 

What makes this marketing strategy more relevant is Vipul Vig, the director of this Pulkit new movie releases, who has no other film to his name besides the Fukrey franchise. Vipul was the writer of all three installments of the Fukrey franchise, giving rise to Pulkit and Varun, and also handing them a failure in the form of Rahu Ketu.

The Rahu Ketu release date is 16 January 2026, making the film hit the theaters right after the Makar Sankranti festival. While the film was already suffering from poor hype, the release date could not help it in any way, either. As for a cherry on top of the cake of misfortunes, ready for the film, it clashed with the Vir Das starrer and Aamir Khan-backed Happy Patel: Khatarnaak Jasoos, which also had poor but much better awareness among the public than this Pulkit Samrat and Varun Sharma starrer.  

While the teaser, trailer, and songs are the most important hype-building assets for any movie, all of them fail to help generate excitement for the Rahu Ketu release date. The teaser and trailer clearly indicate the film is trying hard to be funny, as later highlighted in the Rahu Ketu review. Additionally, the soundtrack of the film, consisting of seven songs, also failed to gain any attraction.
