What is the Tere Ishk Mein Plot about?

Shankar (Dhanush) is an aggressive DUSU president who is unknowingly tamed by a PhD student, Mukti (Kriti Sanon), who makes him fall in love with her just to prove her thesis right, which says that violent men can be controlled with love. When Mukti’s experiment with Shankar succeeds, her thesis is approved, and she earns her PhD, after which she leaves Dhanush forever and prepares for her marriage to Jasjeet (Paramvir Singh Cheema).

Shankar’s anger and need for revenge drive him towards becoming an Indian Air Force pilot. Seven years later, he becomes a flight lieutenant and meets Mukti. However, he cannot forgive her this time.
