When Border 2 was announced soon after the success of Gadar 2, Sunny Deol fans were obviously excited. However, concerns were raised that Border 2 was a forced sequel made solely to cash in on Sunny Deol’s new phase. As the Border 2 teaser has now been released, it looks like the concerns were true and will stay intact till the trailer or the film’s release. Below is our Border 2 teaser review.

Our Border 2 Teaser Review

The Border 2 (film) teaser follows a very typical introduction pattern. It begins with a glimpse of the four lead actors prepared to battle, backed by Sunny Deol’s powerful dialogues. This is followed by a few more seconds of screen time of the four leads, along with the leading actresses of the film, and a few shots of the ongoing war and constant chants of Hindustan for the BGM.
Whatever elements have been included in Sunny Deol’s Border 2 are perfect to attract the audience it targets, typically that of a Sunny Deol entertainer. However, critically analyzing it, the teaser has nothing to be excited about except Deol’s presence.
The presence of Diljit Dosanjh and Varun Dhawan in the Border 2 official teaser can be considered barely decent, while nothing is expected from Ahan Shetty. It can be clearly predicted that the only reason Shetty is a lead is that his father, Suniel Shetty, was a lead in Border. Only Sunny Deol’s performance and dialogue are perfect enough to be considered an audience-pulling factor.
As for the BGM, it is nothing fresh. Yet, it is good to elevate the war sequences just like it did in the prequel.
Additionally, the CGI looks cheap for a war film and feels really worrisome in this case. Shooting the movie at real locations could have covered this massive mistake, which would now affect the film’s quality. Overall, the Border 2 (2026) teaser does not give the vibe of an exciting war drama to watch on the big screen.

What to Expect from Border 2 After the Teaser?

Sunny Deol’s performance and dialogue delivery were major factors behind driving the hype and the entertainment value of Gadar 2 as well as Jaat. The same would apply to Border 2 as well The remix of Hindustan and Sandese Aate Hai by Mithoon will further fuel excitement as the release approaches. Meanwhile, the burden is on the rest of the cast, i.e., Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, to perform. While the three have bagged important roles, it is tough to say that they can attract the interest of the audience in front of Deol.
With the Border 2 teaser out, it is not too early to judge Anurag Singh’s work negatively. However, one can still expect a great cinematic experience if we go by what he had done in Kesari.

Our Final Take

After our Border 2 teaser review, it’s clear that the Sunny Deol starrer is not made to cater to the pretentious, genuine cinema lovers of the internet, but to connect with the masses. However, the film has to primarily be entertaining and memorable to watch in theaters to attract the latter, or else get bashed from all sections. A much clearer insight will be available when the Border 2 trailer releases.
