The story of the 1971 Indo-Pak war has been told a ton of times in Bollywood from different eyes and cameras. At the beginning of 2026, director Sriram Raghavan tells the story again, this time from the eyes of Param Vir Chakra awardee Lt. Arun Khetarpal, who attained martyrdom in the Battle of Basantar. The cast of Ikkis features Agastya Nanda, Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Simar Bhatia in the lead. As of the film’s pre-release assets, whether it be the teaser, trailer, or songs, all of them gained an ordinary response, and there was nothing extra to prove them extraordinary. Meanwhile, the teaser and trailer follow just the typical pattern of patriotism, sacrifice, emotions, drama, and bits of romance, all of them blended together for a Bollywood war-drama movie.
