Ajay Devgn has several iconic films in the comedy genre, and one of them is Son of Sardaar. Sanjay Dutt was initially supposed to star in place of Ravi Kishan, but he was removed from the film because the film was shot in parts of the UK for which Dutt’s visa was not approved. Even Vijay Raaz was playing an important role, but due to internal conflicts, Sanjay Mishra replaced him. Coincidentally, Sanjay Mishra played a cameo in the prequel.

While this upcoming sequel was one of the most-awaited of the year for all the nostalgic fans of its prequel, the hype diminished as the Son of Sardaar 2 release date came closer. This decline happened primarily because of the official assets of the film. Right from the teaser and the AI-generated posters to the trailer and songs, barely anything has worked in favour of the film. Yes, Ajay Devgn’s dance steps in Pehla Tu Duja Tu and The Po Po Song went viral for memes, but served no purpose in helping Son of Sardaar 2 Hindi Movie (2025) at the box office.

Remix songs like Son of Sardaar 2 title track and The Po Po Song failed to catch the attention of the audience. The original romantic song Pehla Tu Duja Tu gained the most attention out of the entire soundtrack. If Son of Sardaar 2 gets positive reviews, it could attract a considerably good audience in the long run, possibly ending with successful results too.

Additionally, Son of Sardaar 2 is facing a lot of competition at the box office too. It is clashing with the romantic drama sequel Dhadak 2, while another romantic drama movie, Saiyaara, runs as the best performer at the box office. On a comparatively minor level, the animated Kannada film Mahavatar Narsimha is performing well too.
