The plot revolves around a politician named Vikramaditya (Harshvardhan Rane) falling in love with Adaa Randhawa (Sonam Bajwa) and he tries to get her love forcefully even when she’s not interested. Even the most outdated plot becomes watchable if the screen-writing is decent but here, even the screen writing is outdated. The lead actors are irritating. They look arrogant, with zero chemistry and exchange of cringe dialogues. Sonam Bajwa disappoints hugely and Harshvardhan Rane is the same monotonous guy from frame one.

What Are The Merits and Demerits of Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat?

All technical aspects are weak. The Director Milap Milan Zaveri has been synonymous to cringe movies and cringe dialogues but this one, the standard has been lowered. The dubbing is terrible, sound mixing is awful and the resources have been wasted just like that. Such films should be scrapped at the writing stage itself. 

The writers do not back anything with logic and have provided weird solutions to problems in the film. The heroine is upset with the hero for reason ‘A’ but the hero will apologise for ‘B’ and hence the audience gets frustrated. Makes everyone wonder as if writer A wrote the first half and writer B wrote the second.

The heroine uses cheap lines during the interval and there are zero consequences. That’s just one instance but logic takes a backseat in every single frame of Ek Deewane ki Deewaniyat movie. The film is boring and has no entertainment value. Two songs are good and that’s just about it. There’s a scene where the hero’s father gets the heroine kidnapped and asks the hero to fulfil his desires – this is cheap and vulgar on another level. There are various such instances that are hard to digest.

Box Office Opening Note

The film opened in double digit GROSS the Indian Box Office which would be considered solid. The numbers are propelled by the post Diwali period which is the biggest day for Bollywood box office in India but even then, the opening can be termed as excellent and is driven by Delhi, UP, Bihar and Rajasthan. Overseas is a non-starter as it’s a Tuesday but overseas barely matters here as the budget is low.
