Who is in the Bhooth Bangla Cast?

The Bhooth Bangla upcoming movie cast features Akshay Kumar, Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, Rajpal Yadav, and Paresh Rawal in the lead. Besides these five, Jisshu Sengupta, Manoj Joshi, Mithila Palkar, late Asrani, and Rajesh Sharma play supporting roles in the film.

Among this complete cast, movie director Priyadarshan’s frequent collaborators are Akshay Kumar, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, late Asrani, and Manoj Joshi. While Tabu is not a frequent collaborator, she played the female lead in Priyadarshan’s Hera Pheri. Besides them all, it is the first film of Priyadarshan with other popular actors like Jisshu Sengupta, Mithila Palkar, and Rajesh Sharma.

The first looks of the major members of the cast were revealed in the teaser of the film. In this cast, Akshay Kumar and Wamiqa Gabbi play a romantic couple, while others play comical roles, except Tabu. From the trailer, the heroine of the movie, Tabu’s role seems to be more dramatic than comical. The complete details of her character are still not known.

What is the Bhooth Bangla Release Date?

The release date of this Akshay Kumar starrer was initially announced to be April 2, 2026. However, the film was later postponed to May 15, 2026. Much later, the film was postponed to April 10, 2026, the next week of its initial release date. 

After Dhurandhar: The Revenge was released, the new movie’s release date was postponed once again to avoid box office competition with the blockbuster. It was pushed to April 17, 2026, with paid previews taking place from April 16, 9 PM onwards.

What is the Bhooth Bangla Trailer Review?

The Bhooth Bangla trailer was released on April 6, 2026. As per the Bollywood reviews for its trailer, it has turned out to be a decent asset, lagging in its production value and the makeup, both of which look very cheap. A rawness was needed in the visuals of the movie to suit its small-town setting that now looks very glossy. 

The Ram Ji Aake Bhala Karenge song enhances the vibe of the trailer as it is a fun and well-known song now. While the comical moments in the trailer are decent enough, the horror and thrilling portions could have been better to make the trailer more exciting. As of now, the trailer reminds you of the disaster The Raja Saab.

Among the negatives, many comical moments and dialogues look inspired, while Akshay Kumar’s “behen darr gayi” dialogue is directly lifted from Bhagam Bhag. Dialogues like these from the new film’s trailer could have been easily removed, as they take away the essence of the film. 

Additionally, the core concept of the movie seems to be inspired by Stree 2, as Vadhusur replaces Sarkata as the antagonist.

What to Expect From Bhooth Bangla Movie 2026?

When you hear of a horror comedy from Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan, Bhool Bhulaiyaa instantly comes to your mind. Judging by the trailer of the movie, the same thing clicked in the minds of the actor-director also. From the trailer, it is clearly visible that they have taken the essence and a large part of Bhool Bhulaiyaa’s making, such as its location and cast, to make Bhooth Bangla.

From the trailer, Tabu seems like a core but deliberately hidden element of the movie, as not much is seen of her besides a few glimpses of her dance and an evil look. Predicting during the film’s post-trailer release phase, a twist like Kartik Aaryan’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 can approach the audience at this point, where Tabu was shown less in the film’s poor trailer but was revealed to be the antagonist with a double role in the film, a twist that also became the best part of the film.

How is the Hype of Bhooth Bangla?

As of its future box office collection updates and pre-release hype, the film carries a decent hype due to the evergreen factor of Akshay Kumar leading the Priyadarshan comedy. This hype failed to benefit from the trailer release. 

Additionally, it will also be competing with Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which reduces the chance of the film running very well in theaters across India. Hence, considering all factors, its day-wise collection is not something expected to break records or give the leading Akshay Kumar a massive comeback.
