7. Ajay Devgn
Ajay Devgn is one of those actors who doesn’t have a dearth of movies releasing in theaters, and that is good as long as the audience loves those movies. In May, Ajay Devgn had his first success of the year as a lead with Raid 2. Soon, he has Son of Sardaar 2 as his immediate next film set to release on 25 July.
Apart from that, the actor has been in the news for his full-of-sequels lineup. Many people criticize his lineup due to a lack of originality, but most of them jump with excitement and nostalgia. Ajay Devgn’s upcoming movies include Dhamaal 4, De De Pyaar De 2, Drishyam 3, Shaitaan 2, and Golmaal 5. Apart from that, he would also star in a standalone action-adventure film titled Ranger.
6. Ajith Kumar

Though the superstar started his year off with the failure of Vidaamuyarchi, he soon bounced back with the mass entertainer Good Bad Ugly. Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, the film became one of the biggest grossers of Thala Ajith’s career, while it remains the highest grosser of the Tamil industry till now.
Apart from his career as an actor, he is a popular racing driver. He formed his new racing team, named Ajith Kumar Racing, debuted in the 24H Series and secured third place in the 991 category. He also received the Spirit of Race recognition in the GT4 category. Additionally, he was also honoured with the Padma Bhushan.
5. Allu Arjun
Though Allu Arjun’s recent blockbuster Pushpa 2: The Rule was released in December 2024, the film, with its theatrical run, became havoc at the ticket windows in early 2025 too. After Pushpa 2 became one of the highest-grossing films of Indian cinema ever, Allu Arjun began trending among the top news of the nation by signing director Atlee’s next.
Currently referred to as AA22 or A6, his next film would reportedly be made on a budget of Rs 800 crore. The technical team behind films like Avatar and Avengers will be involved in this upcoming project, as revealed in the announcement teaser, raising the excitement among fans by multiple folds. Allu Arjun would feature in a double role in the second-most-expensive film in India. Interestingly, Salman Khan was earlier signed as the lead for the same role.
4. Ranbir Kapoor
Ranbir Kapoor has no film releasing in the whole year, and yet he remains one of the biggest topics of interest in Indian cinema. Many of the most exciting upcoming Bollywood Movie Popular Cast consists of his name in the lead, like Dhoom 4, Ramayan Part 1 and Part 2, Love & War, and Animal Park.

His upcoming film War 2 is believed to be the correct portrayal of that stature. With the War 2 teaser already released on 20th May, the film will be released on 14 August 2025.

What makes War 2 such an exciting project is the face-off between a superstar from Bollywood and a superstar from the South Indian film industry, i.e., Hrithik Roshan vs Jr. NTR. His next movie is The Raja Saab, a large-scale horror comedy entertainer set to release on 5 December 2025. In this movie, Prabhas would appear in a double role. Apart from this being his only release of the year as a lead, there have been constant updates about his upcoming movies, keeping him on-trend. These upcoming movies of Prabhas include Fauji, Salaar 2, Spirit, and two more untitled movies by Hombale Films. Prabhas also had a cameo in the Telugu film Kannappa, released on 27 June 2025.
