Will War 2 beat Coolie? War 2 Trailer Review

The internet has been buzzing about the War 2 Trailer since it is officially the War 2 Trailer Release Date and there are too many reactions—some positive, some negative but there are reactions which means the hype is there and people were waiting for the War 2 Movie Trailer to drop. War 2 release date falls on 14th August while the premieres in the USA are planned for 13th August. Hrithik Roshan is of course in form and Jr NTR return(s) in War 2 after Devara.

How is the Trailer? War 2 Movie Trailer Review by Inside Box Office (IBO)

Well, the Trailer is something that doesn’t take away anything but something more was required. The biggest plus is that it avoids the usual Spy Universe India vs Pakistan drama otherwise it would’ve been way too ordinary. Also, the dialogues between the two leads Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR are well-written which also points out the fact that the characters must have been written well. And the Trailer does not reveal too much about the plot. The Hollywood template looks appealing on War 2 cast especially on Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani. Also, the seriousness and the tension was there throughout without any songs.

The downside is that though the background score in the Trailer gave it that Hollywood look, it doesn’t really elevate anything. To put things straight, just like the War 2 Teaser, the Siddharth Anand magic is missing in the Trailer too. The hand to hand combat scenes are also missing which does not make the rivalry between Hrithik and NTR really impactful plus the masses are not impressed unless they see such things. For the bigger cities or the posh audience, these fights are still decent but the smaller cities namely the B & C centres, need hand to hand fight and more masala which was missing. The CGI and the Grading could’ve been better as War 2 is an expensive film. 

Look at the assets of Bang Bang, War, Pathaan, Fighter all these had crazy pre-release hype due to Siddharth Anand’s brilliance in each department whereas War 2 hype is star driven and not driven by marketing material in fact the War 2 audience will chase away the Day 1 audience towards the weekend. 

Coolie versus War 2 post the Trailer release

 Now that War 2 and Coolie release date, the business prospects for both full be affected but not to a great extent as we’ve already highlighted this in our previous article. But Coolie’s assets look more exciting. War 2 and Coolie Trailer Dates were revealed by us on our social media handles and Coolie Trailer will release on 2nd August 2025.

War 2 and Coolie clash will allow stakeholders of the film industry to mint a lot of money as both are huge films. Coolie looks more promising as all the assets of the films look extremely good and fresh. Plus Coolie has a set of big brands. Coolie Director Lokesh Kanagaraj himself is a huge brand, Coolie Music Director Anirudh Ravichander has his own fan following plus it has Rajinikanth who is the only one in India who can deliver huge Grossers at this age. 

The pattern is pretty obvious. When War 2 (2025) was revealed by media portals, the NTR and Hrithik Roshan combo appeared to be very Hot but with each asset like clumsy poster, poor Teaser and a Decent Trailer, the momentum did not build up whereas with War 2019 the pre-release hype was excellent. 

Conclusion: Which Independence Weekend 2025 release is in a better state? 

Among War 2 and Coolie Upcoming movie, Coolie so far looks like the clear winner as the pre-release hype is excellent due to striking assets, huge cast, solid clips and impressive songs that have worked. Plus, Coolie (2025) does not need the Hindi speaking market at all, it can still become a big grosser.

On the other hand, War 2 will do explosive business over the weekend but will depend on reports later. The good news is that NTR is not the main villain and so the Andhra and Telangana market will contribute post the weekend too, if the reports are good. But as of now, Coolie is winning due to better marketing material and all eyes are now on the Coolie Movie Trailer. 

However, the Independence Day period is a huge period that will allow both the films to earn huge bucks at the box office and may be a hurdle for each other only when it comes to crossing the ₹ 1000 crore mark. Stay Tuned to Inside Box Office (IBO) for more such interesting analysis.
