Son of Sardaar became one of the most Ajay Devgn popular movies by getting a box office success during its release. In recent times, the film became extremely popular due to its cast, songs, and its dialogues. While the sequel has been in development for a long time. It was schheduled to release on July 25, 2025. However, the film failed to create any pre-release hype while the blockbuster romantic drama Saiyaara, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, was released 1 week before the film i.e. on July 18. To avoid competing with it at the box office, Son Of Sardaar 2 was postponed to August 1, 2025.

As you might remember, Son of Sardaar was released in a clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s romantic drama Jab Tak Hai Jaan. To repeat the past trajectory, Son of Sardaar 2 New Movie was supposed to release in a clash with Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s much-hyped romantic drama Param Sundari. However, Param Sundari got postponed to a later date.

As per information on our socials, the first and the official poster of Son of Sardaar 2 is expected to release on June 19, 2025. If all goes well, it would be followed by the Son of Sardaar 2 teaser release on June 24, 2025.

Son of Sardaar 2 upcoming movie release features a huge and exciting cast of Ajay Devgn, Vindu Dara Singh and late Mukul Dev as the older additions with Mrunal Thakur, Ravi Kishan, Chunky Panday, Sharat Saxena, Kubbra Sait, Ashwini Kalsekar, Sanjay Mishra being the new characters. It is directed by the Punjabi film director Vijay Kumar Arora, known for movies like Godday Godday Chaa, Kali Jotta, and Guddiyan Patole.

Mrunal Thakur replaces Sonakshi Sinha as the female lead of the film. Earlier, Vijay Raaz was supposed to be a part of the film but due to some problems between him and Ajay Devgn, Vijay was removed from the film and Sanjay Mishra was signed for the same role. Coincidentally, Sanjay Mishra had just a cameo role in the prequel but he would be seen in a much better role in the sequel.

The moment controversy surrounded the film was when Vijay Raaz claimed that he was removed from the film on the first day of shoot as he did not greet Ajay Devgn. However, the two actors have worked together in the past in several movies like Company, Yuva, Naam, Deewane, and Bhoot.

Another popular incident bringing the film to the news was during its shooting in the UK. Sanjay Dutt was supposed to be a part of the schedule but he was denied permission by the authorities of the United Kingdom due to his past involvement in criminal activities and jail term. Hence, he has been replaced by Ravi Kishan.

Among other Son of Sardaar 2 movie updates, the film has been shot at many foreign locations like Edinburgh, London and later in Punjab as well. As per what we know from the shooting leaks of Son of Sardaar 2, the iconic Son of Sardaar title track would be remade for the sequel along with several original dance numbers too.

As we talk about Son of Sardaar 2, the leading star Ajay Devgn has several movies lined up to release in the near future with several of them being sequels. These Ajay Devgn upcoming movies include De De Pyaar De 2, Ranger, Dhamaal 4, Drishyam 3, Golmaal 5, and Shaitaan 2. 

His most previous movie Raid 2 got negative to mixed reviews from the critics but yet, the film became a box office success owing to the legacy of Raid. In any case Son of Sardaar 2 does not meet the expectations of the audience, its franchise factor is still there to help the film excel commercially at the box office.

On June 21, we had exclusively reported that two songs from the Son Of Sardaar 2 music album are titled Nachdi Phiran and Pehla Tu Duja Tu. Till now, the latter has been released officially along with the Son Of Sardaar 2 title track. Meanwhile the Nachdi Phiran song remains unreleased. 

The title track of the film failed to generate any hype of the film just like Pehla Tu Duja Tu as both of them were received with a negative perception. The Son Of Sardaar 2 trailer was also released on 11 July which failed to evoke any hype among the audience. Later, a second trailer of the film was released on 22 July which again failed to generate any major interest.
